Promoting Three Healthy Habits, Dettol Launches “Keluarga Sehat Indonesia Kuat” Movement to Support Government Programs
- Indonesian families are starting to move progressively in reducing the COVID-19 spread against the pandemic, where each family member has a pivotal role to protect each other from preventable diseases and viruses.
- Dettol is encouraging the Indonesian family, as the smallest social unit - to adapt and apply three simple healthy habits (e.g., handwashing with soap, bathing after activities, and disinfecting home – including toilet), to achieve healthier family and greater nation.
Jakarta, August 31, 2021 - To accompany Indonesian families in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic, Reckitt Indonesia, a leading global consumer goods company with three pillars on health, hygiene, and nutrition through its brand, Dettol, is launching “Keluarga Sehat Indonesia Kuat” movement. Along with other stakeholders, such as The Ministry of Health Indonesia, Indonesia Medical Association (IDI), and other public figures, Dettol would like to involve the whole Indonesian families to be committed to applying three simple healthy habits – handwashing with soap, bathing after activities, and regularly disinfecting home, as well as providing health education and sanitation access to the community, with the aims to directly contribute for the stronger nation.
The launch event itself, which still with the spirits of the 76th Indonesian Independence Day theme “Indonesia Tangguh, Indonesia Tumbuh”, gives optimism that the Indonesian community stays resilient during the pandemic situation. Dettol believes that a family as the foundation of socialization unit in society can become the agent of change for protection and education function of all ages and all kinds of backgrounds in Indonesia. Before the launch of “Keluarga Sehat, Indonesia Kuat”, Dettol has shown its contribution through multiple donation events to health workers and vaccination centers to the public in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya in June and July 2021. Dettol hopes those tangible actions might contribute to the Indonesian family protection for achieving herd immunity.

The Secretariat General of the Ministry of Health, Republic Indonesia, Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha appreciates this Keluarga Sehat Indonesia Kuat movement. “Indonesian government through the Ministry of Health continuous to accelerate the vaccinations coverage and maintains the improvement of Tracing, Testing, and Treatment as part of the efforts to reduce the rate of COVID-19 virus transmission. In addition, it is very crucial for Indonesian families to always apply strict health protocols. We are also appreciating this company's steps as the extension of the government to always remind Indonesian families with three simple healthy habits, for achieving healthier and stronger communities.”
Adding to the discussion, actress, entrepreneur, and the new brand ambassador of Dettol and the “Keluarga Sehat, Indonesia Kuat” campaign, Dian Sastrowardoyo said, “As a mom, I am a strong believer that each family member has a very critical role in protecting each other from preventable diseases. In these unprecedented times, implementing strict health protocols is not enough. We need to constantly remind our loved ones, our family, to start building sustainable habits that hopefully can keep the nation survive in combatting this pandemic.
